Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me. I am a certified general appraiser in Oregon, specializing in commercial properties. With a passion for teaching and learning, I earned my bachelor's degree in Science Education from Arkansas State University. Although I am no longer in the classroom, I still find joy in discovering real-life applications of scientific principles and even toy with the idea of writing a book or curriculum with this focus.
While working toward my degree, I provided bookkeeping services for a CPA, managing over 30 businesses each month. Eventually, I transitioned back into the accounting field after teaching, offering bookkeeping services to private clients and then advancing through various roles in the accounting department at a local manufacturing company. These experiences now come together to prepare me for my third profession--appraising real estate. I love how it combines my interests in researching, writing, teaching, and numbers. Plus, I am always learning more about how America operates behind the scenes as I appraise properties and study market trends.
I began my appraisal career as an appraiser assistant in 2018, focusing on residential appraisals. I later transitioned to commercial appraisals under the mentorship of Michele Payne, the former owner of Payne Appraisal Services. Michele retired in December 2023, and I opened my own company, Dogwood Commercial Appraisals, to continue serving our past and new clients. Having lived in Central Oregon since 2009, I have witnessed firsthand the region's growth and transformation.
Your investment in real estate is one of the most significant decisions you will make. I am committed to helping you gain clarity in your decision-making process. As an honest, hard-working professional, my goal is to provide you with an accurate and clear appraisal. I am happy to discuss the process with you both before and after the appraisal.
